Questions

How does it know where I stopped?
Steam records which achievements you hold and when you earned them. For each game here, the achievements that mark the main story are known, in story order. The last of them you hold is where you stopped, and the recap tells the story up to that moment.
Will it spoil anything?
No. Each recap covers only what happens up to the achievement you hold, and assumes no choice you could have made differently: no companion, faction, route or romance. Achievements ahead of you stay locked, with no names. Every recap was checked against the game's wiki before it was put here.
Why isn't my game here?
A game needs Steam achievements that mark its story, and a recap written and checked for each of them. The most played story games come first, and the list grows. Sandbox, multiplayer and roguelike games have no fixed story to recap.
I don't play on Steam. Does it work for me?
Yes. Pick your game from the list, and on its page answer, one step at a time, whether you got as far as each place in the story. Each answer shows only the next place, never what happens there, and the recap plays from where you stopped.
Do I need an account?
No. Your Steam profile and game details need to be public. Nothing is saved; the read is free and read-only.
