How do I see my total hours played on Steam?
Steam has no page that adds them up. Paste your Steam profile address, custom name, or SteamID64 above, and the report adds the hours on record for every game in the library, shows the total as full work weeks, and then shows which games the hours went to.
Does Steam show total playtime across all games?
No. The library and the profile's game list give hours on record one game at a time, and the profile's recent activity covers the last two weeks. Steam Replay covers a single calendar year. The all-time total has to be added up from the per-game hours, which is what this page does.
What counts toward the total?
Whatever Steam has on record: the time each game in the library has been running, menus and idling included. Play from before Steam tracked hours is not in it. The report adds nothing of its own to Steam's numbers.
Why does it say my hours are hidden?
Steam has a privacy setting, "Always keep my total playtime private", that reports every game at zero minutes. The report says so instead of showing a zero. Your profile and game details also need to be public: in Steam, open Edit Profile, then Privacy Settings.
Do I need to sign in, and is it safe?
No account and no Steam sign-in are needed. The report is read-only and uses only what your Steam privacy settings already make public. No library is saved. Each game in it adds one to that game's counts across the libraries read here, and those counts hold no SteamID.
How is this different from Steam Replay?
Steam Replay is Steam's own recap of one calendar year and arrives in December. This is every year at once: all the hours on record since the account was made, on any day you ask.
