  1. Banoi Resort

    You woke at Banoi's Royal Palms Resort after a party and found the hotel overrun by infected people. You played one of four immune survivors: Xian Mei, Sam B, Logan Carter, or Purna Jackson. Which survivor you controlled was your choice. After escaping the hotel, you helped the stranded survivors secure a lifeguard tower. Food and a way off the island became urgent.

  2. Moresby

    You recovered an armored truck and took Jin, a mechanic's daughter, with you into Moresby. Mother Helen's church offered shelter, but little food. You fought through sewers and looters to reach a stocked supermarket. On your return, the town hall had fallen to zombies. Jin tried delivering supplies to the police station and was captured by its gang. You rescued her and brought supplies back.

  3. Into The Jungle

    You reached a radio contact who identified himself as Colonel Ryder White, trapped at Banoi's prison with his infected wife. He promised rescue and directed you toward a laboratory working on a cure. To get there, you entered the jungle, helped Matutero's village, and killed the warlord Afran. Recovering his boat brought you to Mowen, a guide who could take you onward.

  4. The Laboratory

    You helped Doctor Robert West investigate the infection and collect samples. Among the island's native people, you saved Yerema from being killed and brought her to the laboratory. Mowen agreed to guide you through the minefield surrounding the prison. Before leaving, you returned to find the scientists dead and the laboratory overrun. You rescued the caged Yerema and recovered what appeared to be a cure.

  5. The Prison

    You reached the prison with Jin, Yerema, and the supposed cure. Prisoner leader Titus Kabui demanded help before allowing you through. A riot and another zombie attack shattered the survivors' refuge. Following directions from the voice claiming to be White, you entered an elevator and were gassed unconscious. A prisoner called Kevin woke you and said White had taken the supposed cure. You pursued the colonel toward his rooftop helicopter.

  6. The RooftopThe ending

    You found White guarding his fully infected wife, Emily. Jin released her, and Emily bit him. White shot Emily and Jin, then injected himself with the supposed cure. It transformed him into a monster. You killed him and escaped in the helicopter Kevin piloted, with the four immune survivors and Yerema aboard. You left Banoi behind and headed toward the naval fleet offshore.
