The story of Zeno Clash

6 parts, from the opening to the ending. Read it before Zeno Clash 2. This page tells the ending.

Zeno Clash's page
  1. Flight From Halstedom

You were Ghat, one of the many children raised by Father-Mother in Halstedom. You detonated a skull bomb at close range, injuring yourself and apparently killing the parent your family revered. Your brothers and sisters turned against you. You fought your way out of the city with Deadra, who stayed beside you despite the family’s pursuit.

  2. The Woods

You fled into the woods of Zenozoik, where the Corwid of the Free followed their private compulsions without regard for anyone else. You had once lived among them, and your journey brought you back into their violent company. As you travelled with Deadra, you recalled your earlier life and the conflict with Father-Mother that had driven you from Halstedom.

  3. The Hunter

You crossed the desert, but distance did not shake off your family. They had hired the Hunter, a blind mercenary, to kill you. When he threatened Deadra, you persuaded him to let her go in exchange for fighting him alone. You defeated him and continued travelling with her toward the edge of Zenozoik, beyond the desert.

  4. The Endworld

You reached the Endworld, a dark borderland inhabited by strange shadow beings. There, you and Deadra freed Golem from imprisonment. He already seemed to understand your struggle with Father-Mother and intended to end it. Your escape from Halstedom became a return journey: with Golem involved, you headed back toward the family that had hunted you.

  5. The Return

You fought your way back through Zenozoik with Deadra. The Hunter threatened you again, and Golem intervened. When the Hunter wounded him, you and Deadra suffered the same injury, revealing Golem’s power to link bodies through pain. He also helped you pass Halstedom’s main gate. Inside the city, you discovered that Father-Mother had survived the skull bomb.

  6. Father-Mother’s SecretThe ending

You confronted Father-Mother and fought again. Golem broke his own finger to stop Father-Mother from killing you with a hammer. You prevailed but refused to kill your defeated parent or expose the secret yourself. Golem told the family instead: Father-Mother had stolen them as infants from their real parents. You and Deadra survived, Father-Mother remained alive, and the brothers and sisters who had pursued you finally heard the truth about their family.
