  1. Raccoon City

    You entered the outbreak as either rookie police officer Leon Kennedy or Claire Redfield, who was searching for her brother Chris. You met the other survivor at a gas station overrun by zombies, then drove into Raccoon City. A crashing tanker separated you in the streets. You both headed for the police station, hoping to find shelter and a way out.

  2. The Police Station

    You found a station full of dead officers and locked escape routes. Marvin Branagh's fate was sealed by infection; whether you met him before or after he turned depended on your run. Beneath the station, you confronted the grotesquely mutated William Birkin. The Tyrant also hunted you through the building, forcing you to keep moving while you searched for an exit.

  3. Two Paths

    Your chosen character determined whom you protected. As Claire, you found Birkin's daughter Sherry, then pursued corrupt Chief Brian Irons after he abducted her. Birkin killed Irons, and Sherry was infected. As Leon, you met Ada Wong, who claimed to be an FBI agent investigating Umbrella. You followed her into the sewers, trusting her account of the disaster.

  4. NEST

    You descended into Umbrella's underground laboratory, NEST. William had injected himself with the G-virus after Umbrella's soldiers shot him while taking his research. His attack on them released another virus that spread through the city. Your purpose inside NEST depended on your route: Claire needed treatment for Sherry, while Leon recovered a G-virus sample for Ada.

  5. Mothers and Spies

    You faced William's further mutations as Annette Birkin tried to stop her husband. In Claire's route, you obtained the treatment Annette used to save Sherry before dying. In Leon's route, you learned Ada was a spy seeking the virus. Wounded by Annette, Ada fell into the depths, and the sample was lost. NEST's destruction forced the survivors toward its escape train.

  6. The Escape TrainThe ending

    You fought your route's last obstacle: another Birkin mutation as Claire, or the transformed Tyrant as Leon, aided by a rocket launcher from the surviving Ada. You reunited with the others aboard the train. In the complete second-run ending, you fought Birkin again while the other survivor detached his carriage, leaving him in the explosion. Leon, Claire, and Sherry emerged alive, together, beyond the city.
