  1. The Ishimura

    You were Isaac Clarke, an engineer aboard the repair ship Kellion, answering a distress call from the mining vessel Ishimura above Aegis VII. Your girlfriend, Nicole Brennan, worked aboard it. A docking accident damaged your ship. Inside the Ishimura, creatures attacked your team, leaving you separated from Zach Hammond and Kendra Daniels. Your search for Nicole became a fight to stay alive.

  2. Keeping The Ship Alive

    You repaired the tram, engines, and asteroid defenses while the creatures tore through the ship. The Kellion was destroyed, cutting off your escape. Records revealed that miners had uncovered the Red Marker on Aegis VII. Unitologists aboard the Ishimura wanted it as a sacred relic. Its discovery had brought hallucinations and violence, followed by Necromorphs that spread by transforming the dead.

  3. Mercer's Experiment

    You encountered Doctor Challus Mercer, who worshipped the Necromorph transformation as humanity's next step. He released his regenerating Hunter and tried to kill you by venting the medical deck's air. You escaped and froze the creature. In hydroponics, you fought the Leviathan that threatened the ship's air supply. Nicole also appeared alive, though your encounters with her were strange and brief.

  4. The Valor

    You sent a distress beacon, and the military ship Valor answered. But it retrieved an escape pod containing a Necromorph that Hammond had ejected. The infection overwhelmed its crew, and the Valor crashed into the Ishimura. You boarded the wreck to recover a singularity core for an escape shuttle. Hammond died fighting a Brute, leaving you and Kendra to continue.

  5. The Stolen Marker

    You destroyed the returning Hunter with the shuttle's engines and helped Doctor Terrence Kyne prepare an escape. He believed returning the Marker to the colony would restrain the Hive Mind controlling the creatures. Kendra shot him and took the shuttle. She revealed herself as a government agent: the Red Marker was a human-made copy of an alien artifact, abandoned after an earlier experiment.

    You recalled the shuttle with Nicole's help, forcing Kendra to flee in an escape pod. You took the Marker down to Aegis VII and restored it to its pedestal. But Kendra intervened and removed it again. She showed you Nicole's complete final message: Nicole had killed herself before you arrived. The woman you had followed was a vision manipulating you into returning the Marker.

  7. The Last ShuttleThe ending

    You watched the Hive Mind kill Kendra before she could escape. You fought and destroyed it, then reached the shuttle as the enormous chunk of rock suspended above the colony fell back toward the planet. You escaped alone, leaving the Marker behind in the devastation. Inside the shuttle, you stopped Nicole's recording. A bloodied vision of her suddenly lunged at you as everything cut to black.
