Borderlands 2's page

  1. Jack's Welcome

You were a Vault Hunter drawn to Pandora by the promise of alien treasure. Handsome Jack, head of Hyperion, welcomed you with a train full of explosives. You survived the wreck in the frozen wastes. Claptrap found you, and a mysterious woman called Angel guided you toward Sanctuary, where the Crimson Raiders resisted Jack's rule.

  2. The Crimson Raiders

You tracked the Firehawk and found Lilith, a Siren fighting the bandits around Sanctuary. With her help, you searched for Roland, the Raiders' captured leader. You fought through the Bloodshot stronghold and rescued him from Hyperion. Roland brought you into the resistance against Jack, who wanted to open a Vault and command an ancient creature called the Warrior.

  3. Sanctuary Takes Flight

You recovered a Hyperion power core for Sanctuary's shields, but it was another trap. Angel obeyed Jack and shut down the city's defenses. As bombardment tore into Sanctuary, you helped launch the city into the air. Lilith teleported it to safety. Stranded outside, you followed Angel's directions again and restored the travel connection to your scattered allies.

  4. The Cost

You gathered what the Raiders needed to breach Jack's defenses. At the Wildlife Exploitation Preserve, you found Mordecai's bird Bloodwing mutilated by Hyperion experiments. You subdued her, but Jack detonated her collar and killed her. You also recruited Brick and his Slabs. With their support, you fought toward the chamber where Angel had promised to help stop Jack.

  5. Control Core Angel

You discovered that Angel was Jack's daughter, a captive Siren forced to charge the Vault Key with Eridium. At her request, you destroyed her supply, knowing it would kill her. Roland and Lilith helped you, but Jack appeared after Angel died. He shot Roland dead and captured Lilith as Angel's replacement. Lilith teleported you away before Jack could make her kill you.

  6. The WarriorThe ending

You reached the Vault, where Jack used Lilith to finish charging the Key and unleashed the Warrior. You defeated it and freed her. Whether you killed Jack yourself or let Lilith do it depended on you; he died either way. With Brick and Mordecai reunited with you, the Key revealed a map of other Vaults. The surviving Raiders had new destinations beyond Pandora.
