The story of STAR WARS Knights of the Old Republic

6 parts, from the opening to the ending (where it turned on your choices, what every ending shares). Read it before STAR WARS Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. This page tells the ending.

  1. Escape From Taris

You awoke aboard the Endar Spire during a Sith attack and escaped to Taris with Republic pilot Carth Onasi. You found Bastila Shan, a Jedi whose battle meditation could turn battles against Darth Malak. With companions including Mission Vao, Zaalbar, and Canderous Ordo, you stole the Ebon Hawk and fled as Malak's fleet devastated the planet.

  2. Dantooine

You took refuge with the Jedi on Dantooine. They trained you in the Force, while shared visions connected you to Bastila and the fallen Jedi Revan and Malak. Your treatment of the troubled apprentice Juhani depended on you. In ancient ruins, you discovered a Star Map pointing toward other maps and the mysterious Star Forge.

  3. The Star Maps

You pursued the maps across Tatooine, Kashyyyk, Manaan, and Korriban, choosing your route. The search drew you through a desert, Wookiee forests, an underwater facility, and a Sith academy. You decided whom to help, threaten, or betray along the way. Each map brought you closer to the hidden source of Malak's seemingly inexhaustible military strength.

  4. The Leviathan

Before your search was complete, the Leviathan captured you. Admiral Saul Karath told you Malak's fleet had destroyed the Jedi enclave on Dantooine. During your escape, Malak revealed that you were Darth Revan, his former master. He had betrayed you, and the Jedi had erased your memories and created your new identity. Bastila had known the truth. She stayed behind to fight Malak so you and Carth could escape.

  5. The Rakatan World

You completed the maps and reached the Star Forge's system, where a disruption field forced the Ebon Hawk down onto a Rakatan world. In its ancient temple, you faced Bastila, whom Malak had turned to the dark side. She urged you to reclaim your Sith throne. Your answer determined your allegiance and which companions survived or remained beside you.

  6. The Star ForgeThe ending

You boarded the Star Forge, the enormous factory supplying the Sith fleet, and killed Malak. Bastila's fate depended on your decisions. So did your victory's meaning: whether you destroyed the Forge and were honored as the Republic's savior, or took it and reclaimed command of the Sith. You survived as Revan, with your remaining companions and your chosen allegiance defining the ending.
